Window Flower pattern

1 summer top

This flower is worked in both rows and rounds. I have used it in the latest pattern for Vrouekeur magazine (20 November 2015). The pattern is very simple and written clear, but I thought some step by step photos will make it much easier.

Abbreviations used in this pattern (American crochet terminology):

ch – chain stitch, dc – double crochet stitch, rep – repeat, sc – single crochet stitch, sp – space, ss – slip stitch, st – stitch, tr – treble stitch

Stitch explanations:

tr = treble: yarn twice over hook, insert hook in next stitch and pull a loop, (yarn over hook and draw through 2 loops) 3 times.

Pattern:

Row 1: Start with 16 ch, 1 dc in the 9th ch from hook, 2 ch, skip 2 ch, 1 dc in next ch, 4 ch, skip 3 ch, ss in 1st ch, turn.

Row 2: 5 ch, skip ss and 1 ch, 1 dc in next ch, (2 ch, skip 2 ch, 1 dc in next dc)twice, 2 ch, skip 2 ch, 1 dc in next ch, 2 ch, 1 dc in next ch, turn.

Row 3: 5 ch, skip 2 ch, 1 dc in the nect dc, (2 ch, skip 2 ch, 1 dc in the next dc) 3 times, 2 ch, skip 2 ch, 1 dc in the next ch, turn.
